Write two short dialogues based on the following scenarios. Work with a partner. Act them out if you wish!
A Mrs Smith is very stubborn and independent. You offer to help her with dressing and washing, but Mrs Smith wants to do everything by herself. She asks you to fetch her walking frame so she can get to the bathroom.
B Mr Singh asks you to help him with shaving because his hands are shaking. You offer to help him take a shower, but he refuses. You are worried he will fall in the shower and try to convince him to use a shower chair.

Write two short dialogues based on the scenarios, or create your own dialogue based on a similar situation you’ve seen or imagined. Include in your dialogue that you respect the patients’ independence while ensuring their safety.
