Business Development, Governance, Sustainability and Internationalization

Business Development, Governance, Sustainabilty  and Intrernationalization has been established in 2018  and consists of Hiof employeers and employeers from other universities from Norway and  other countries.  We focus on cross-disciplinary research in three areas: "business development", "governance" and internationalization . We add a governance perspective to research in the area of business administration in the international context.

We have four focus areas:

  • Business development. Business development topics touch a range of subject areas. Our members are committed to empirical research in entrepreneurship, business economics, accounting and auditing, and marketing management.
  • Governance. We are also interested in research questions related to corporate governance, network governance and institutional governance. Our members explore the co-ordination of the company with respect to the external business environment from a normative perspective.
  • Sustainability The group is interesetd in research topics related to the issue of sustainability . Our members are working both with the cource development about the topic of Sustainability, and  explore differnet research aspects in different research fields where Sustainability is in focus.
  • Internationalization.  Globalization of the world economy brought to attention the issue of the process of internationalization.  Our members  explore the impact of internationalization on  the  business processes in organizations and companies. 

Our research group has an active network of research collaborators in Nordic countries, Ukraine, Poland,  Denmark, UK, Germany and China. We also collaborate with business practitioners in Norway, especially in Østfold. Our members adopt research-based teaching approaches with active student involvement.
