Åpent foredrag: Human Learners and ChatGPT as Text Producers

ENGLISH:

Welcome to the digital lecture about writing in Scandinavian languages in the second language perspective where you will learn what happens when texts are produced by Polish students of Danish, Norwegian and Swedish and what happens when ChatGPT generates the texts.

How do the texts change when LLM takes over the writing task? What is typical of the texts written by the adult human learners compared to the texts produced by Chat GPT in the three Scandinavian languages? And what does it mean for second language teaching and learning?

Come to the lecture and join the discussion afterwards!

The lecture is held by the members of the AkwiSkand research group at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Poland) that primarily work with the theoretical perspectives on second language acquisition in the Scandinavian context: Mikołaj Sobkowiak, Natalia Kołaczek, Paulina Horbowicz and Anna Olszewska.

The lecture will be held in English with the possibility of asking questions also in Norwegian, Swedish and Danish.

Event organizer: Research groups SoS, Text-in-context and LiS.

The event is organized with the support from Language in Learning.
