DigiHealth promotes exploratory and critical analyses of how digitalization affect the health and welfare sector, and how implementation of new technology is experienced by stakeholders in the health, welfare, education and employment sectors.

Forskningsgruppen initierer, gjennomfører og formidler klinisk forskning med fokus på ivaretagelse og behandling av akutt, kritisk skadde pasienter, samt operasjonspasienter- det vil si pasienter under medisinsk og kirurgisk behandling og omsorg. In this project, we are looking at the possibility of developing decision support systems based on machine learning for several parts of the health care system. The AI tool created would put the patient’s needs first, thus allowing the caregiver the opportunity to design the care and treatment for the patient in such a way that it would minimise treatment variations offered by different healthcare providers. The incorporation of AI in decision support would promote the utilisation of the most effective treatment program for each patient and would provide the means to compare the different treatment options provided to patients in terms of outcomes, costs and patient satisfaction. The project is a collaborative project between the Østfold University College (HiØ), Østfold Hospital Trust, University of Borås and a number of partners within the health care system and on both sides of the Norway-Sweden border.
I dette forskningsprosjektet ser vi på muligheten for å utvikle systemer for beslutningsstøtte basert på maskinlæring for flere deler av helsevesenet. Prosjektet er et samarbeidsprosjekt mellom Høgskolen i Østfold, Høgskolan i Borås og en rekke partnere innen helsevesenet på begge sider av grensen.
The purpose of this study is to explore patients’ views about use and acceptance of home blood pressure monitoring with focus on key determinants derived from Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT 2) model. Patients with diagnosed hypertension documented in their health care records will be recruited through patients’ organisations in Sweden and Norway.
Formålet med denne studien er å utforske pasienters bruk og aksept av hjemmemåling av blodtrykk med fokus på determinanter basert på “Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology” (UTAUT 2) modellen. Pasienter dokumentert diagnostisert med hypertensjon rekrutteres via pasientorganisasjoner Sverige og Norge.
